As someone who is inspired by how music and design can interact, I like to make concept designs for music that I like. This is a concept for MJ Lenderman’s album Manning Fireworks. My goal for this project was to make a fully fleshed out record packaging design that reflects the music. This includes the front cover, track list, lyric sheet, and the labels for each side of the record.

A big inspiration for this project was cheesy fireworks branding and packaging. I took elements of “bad design” and mixed them with more refined typography and graphic flourishes. I also 3D animated the packaging pieces to show how they fit together.
